    Position Summary

    Headquarter Toyota is seeking motivated Entry-Level Automotive Technicians (Express Lube Technicians) to join our service team. The Express Lube Technician plays a key role in performing routine maintenance services, such as oil changes and fluid checks, while assisting in identifying potential vehicle issues.     Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

    • Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and filter replacements
    • Conduct basic vehicle inspections and identify potential maintenance or safety concerns
    • Complete services efficiently and accurately in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards
    • Communicate inspection findings clearly to Service Advisors to support recommended maintenance and repairs
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all dealership safety policies and procedures.
    • Participate in ongoing training to stay current on automotive technologies and service procedures
    • Work collaboratively with technicians and other team members to meet customer satisfaction and departmental goals
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, dependability, and a willingness to learn. Previous automotive experience is helpful but not required.

    • High school diploma or GED preferred
    • Previous dealership or automotive service experience preferred, but not required
    • Ability to safely operate shop equipment; training will be provided as needed
    • Must provide and maintain a basic set of technician tools
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
    • Excellent teamwork, reliability, and customer service skills
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require
    • Ability to comply with the company's appearance and uniform standards

    Physical Demands & Work Environment

    This position requires the ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

    • Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and work in various positions around vehicles.
    • Regularly use hands and arms to operate tools, equipment, and vehicle components.
    • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Occasionally lift or move heavier items with assistance or appropriate lifting equipment.
    • Regularly communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.

    Work is performed primarily in an automotive service shop. Employees regularly work around moving mechanical parts and are exposed to loud noise, vibration, automotive fluids, varying temperatures, and vehicle exhaust. This position requires the safe operation of power tools, shop equipment, and motor vehicles while following established safety policies and procedures. Frequent interaction with customers, Service Advisors, fellow technicians, and management is expected.
