As an Export Logistics Specialist, you'll be:

• Prepare export documentation - commercial invoices, packing lists, and air waybills.
• File EEI through the AES portal and review daily sanctions screening.
• Coordinate international shipments with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Collect and compare freight quotes to balance cost and delivery.
• Resolve shipping delays, lost or damaged items, and carrier claims.
• Track shipments and keep customers and teammates in the loop.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve logistics performance and perform other duties as

assigned.

What a Typical Day Looks Like?

An international customer's critical machine is down, and they need a replacement tool cleared through customs fast.

First thing in the morning, you confirm the shipment details, prepare the commercial invoice and packing list, and book the pickup with your freight forwarder. Midday, the daily sanctions screening flags a new customer for review. You dig in, document your findings, and clear the order to ship. By afternoon, you've tracked down a delayed international shipment, filed a carrier claim for a damaged crate, and filed the EEI through the AES portal for tomorrow's exports, then proposed a process improvement that will cut future documentation errors.

What We're Looking For:

Do You Have What It Takes?

• Experience: 2+ years in logistics, shipping, or export operations, with hands-on export documentation experience (commercial invoices, packing lists, AWBs) and working knowledge of domestic and international shipping.
• Detail-Oriented: You track the details and get it right the first time.
• Compliance-Minded: You follow regulations and documentation requirements to the letter - and ask when something's unclear.
• Problem-Solver: You identify root causes and resolve issues before they escalate.
• Communicator: You share information clearly, keep others in the loop, and coordinate across teams to avoid confusion.
• Tech-Savvy: You navigate shipping, ERP, and compliance systems efficiently.
• Locally Based: Within a sustainable commute of Dayton, OH.
