    Description

     PURPOSE
    Our client is seeking an Exploration Manager to lead all exploration activities, including near-existing deposits and regional exploration team activities. This role will provide technical leadership to support effective exploration planning, execution, and decision-making.
     
     
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Evaluate exploration potential, identify and prioritize targets, and develop, manage, and provide technical input to exploration programs.
    • Manage target generation, assessment, and the exploration project pipeline.
    • Contribute to drill program planning focused on resource discovery, resource growth, and optimization.
    • Plan and coordinate geological, geochemical, geophysical, and drilling programs.
    • Ensure QA/QC programs are implemented, review results, and address identified issues.
    • Support exploration team development through mentorship, training, and technical guidance.
    • Perform and support geological and structural modeling as required.
    • Adhere to safety, environmental, operational, and regulatory requirements, including identifying and reporting unsafe conditions.
     
     
    SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Strong ability to integrate and interpret multi-disciplinary exploration data to support geological interpretation and decision-making.
    • Advanced understanding of QA/QC principles, including program implementation, data validation, and assessment.
    • Proficiency with industry-standard exploration and mining software, GIS applications, and 3D geological modeling.
    • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and team-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
     
     
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree in Geosciences or a related field, including completion of a field camp program.
    • Minimum 15 years of mineral exploration experience, including Carlin-type, epithermal gold-silver, and other deposit types.
    • Minimum 5 years of leadership or management experience within the mining industry.
    • Experience in near-mine and regional exploration programs, including advancing and evaluating surface and underground exploration projects.
