Expert Warehousing & Freight Specialist – Temporary, Part-Time
Location: Lebanon, IN
Pay: $40.00/hr+ based on experience
Schedule: Approximately 20–25 hours per week
Preferred Hours: 4:00 PM–8:00/9:00 PM, with some flexibility
Assignment Length: Temporary, up to 5 months
Pro Resources is seeking an experienced Warehousing & Freight Specialist to support a leading manufacturing facility in Lebanon, IN. This is a part-time, temporary opportunity for a seasoned shipping or logistics professional who can provide hands-on operational support while helping improve warehouse and freight processes.
In this role, you will work closely with the shipping team, provide training and guidance to Shipping Clerks, support outbound shipping activities, and identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and cost control.
What You’ll Do
- Train and mentor Shipping Clerks on procedures and best practices
- Provide hands-on guidance with Bills of Lading, packing lists, Advance Ship Notices, truck routing, and other outbound documentation
- Assist with customer-specific shipping requirements and retailer portals
- Troubleshoot shipping issues and help resolve problems quickly
- Review and improve warehouse and freight processes
- Work with freight carriers, logistics providers, and warehouse partners
- Help ensure shipments are accurate, secure, compliant, and completed on time
- Monitor warehouse and freight KPIs and provide actionable feedback
- Maintain accurate shipping records, policies, and procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce costs
- Support logistics, inventory, and supply chain projects
- Serve as a subject-matter expert and day-to-day resource for the shipping team
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience in shipping, transportation, freight, warehousing, or logistics
- Strong knowledge of outbound shipping documentation and processes
- Experience with customer portals, carrier coordination, and truck routing
- Previous experience training or mentoring shipping personnel
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
- Familiarity with freight compliance and regulatory requirements
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and quickly become a trusted resource
- Experience working with major retailers or big-box customers is highly preferred
