Job Summary

If you're interested in an Expert Level Security Officer job, then this is the best role for you! This role provides security and safety support through gatehouse coverage, foot patrols, mobile patrols, and emergency response at assigned industrial or commercial sites.

Job Description

• Patrol buildings, grounds, facilities, and assigned work sites regularly.
• Monitor and safeguard designated entrances, gates, and guardhouse areas.
• Conduct foot and mobile patrols to identify and report safety or security concerns.
• Respond to emergencies and provide CPR assistance when required.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, incidents, or other concerns.
• Follow established security procedures and site-specific requirements.
• Complete required reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Work under general supervision while exercising sound judgment and appropriate discretion.
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Skills Required

• 4–6 years of experience in security or a related field.
• Familiarity with standard security practices, procedures, and protocols.
• Good observation and situational awareness skills.
• Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• CPR/emergency response skills.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Hawaii Guard Card required.
• CPR certification/experience preferred or required as applicable

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Officers will not carry any type of weapons.
• Must be comfortable working with a combination of guardhouse/gate, foot patrol, mobile patrol, and emergency response assignments.
• Three possible shifts based on business needs:
  • 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
  • 11:30 PM–8:00 AM
• No guaranteed shift start time; scheduling is based on business needs.

Pay Rate/Salary

• Salary: $27.00 per hour.
