Role Overview

Pivot Point Solutions is seeking an Expert Cloud Program Manager to lead enterprise-scale cloud platform transformation initiatives across AWS, Azure, Azure Local, and hybrid infrastructure environments. This position will oversee a portfolio of highly technical programs spanning enterprise image lifecycle management, multi-cloud automated patching, CI/CD pipeline standardization, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), platform automation, DevSecOps, and cloud governance.

This role requires an experienced technology leader who can translate cloud strategy into executable programs and drive delivery across Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Operations, application teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of technology program/project management experience, including at least 5 years directly leading cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering transformation programs.

Your Day-to-Day Activities

• Lead complex enterprise cloud and platform engineering programs across AWS, Azure, Azure Local, and hybrid infrastructure environments.

• Establish program strategy, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, delivery plans, budgets, governance, and success metrics.

• Drive initiatives from intake and planning through architecture, implementation, pilot deployment, enterprise rollout, and transition to operations.

• Lead Enterprise AMI/Image Factory programs supporting standardized image creation, testing, certification, publishing, governance, and lifecycle management.

• Coordinate image management across AWS AMIs, Azure Images, Azure Compute Gallery, Azure Local, VMware templates, and related infrastructure.

• Lead multi-cloud automated patching initiatives across operating systems, middleware, and hybrid infrastructure.

• Coordinate programs involving Azure Arc, Azure Update Manager, Azure Policy, AWS Systems Manager, Terraform, and automated deployment pipelines.

• Drive standardization of golden images, security baselines, patching processes, cloud controls, and operational practices.

• Lead initiatives involving Infrastructure as Code, universal CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, platform automation, and cloud-native operating models.

• Manage multiple concurrent workstreams across cloud engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, operations, and application teams.

• Establish Agile delivery cadences using SAFe, Scrum, Lean, or hybrid enterprise delivery methodologies.

• Facilitate program planning, sprint and release coordination, executive reviews, dependency management, and quarterly planning.

• Track delivery metrics, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and overall program health.

• Identify technical and organizational roadblocks and drive cross-functional teams toward resolution.

• Manage program budgets, forecasts, vendor engagements, resource allocation, and financial performance.

• Establish governance processes supporting cybersecurity, audit, compliance, architecture, and operational-readiness requirements.

• Develop executive dashboards, presentations, business cases, status reporting, and strategic recommendations.

• Communicate program performance, risks, decisions, financials, and delivery outcomes to senior and executive leadership.

• Drive continuous improvement across cloud delivery, automation, reliability, scalability, governance, and operational efficiency.

The Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

• 10+ years of progressive technology Project and Program Management experience.

• 5+ years directly leading Cloud, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or closely related transformation programs.

• Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-scale cloud transformation initiatives from strategy through production deployment.

• Strong working knowledge of AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud environments.

• Understanding of Azure Local and hybrid cloud infrastructure concepts.

• Strong understanding of platform engineering, cloud automation, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and DevSecOps concepts.

• Experience coordinating highly technical cloud architecture, engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations teams.

• Experience leading multiple interdependent technical workstreams within large enterprise programs.

• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and scaled Agile practices.

• Experience managing complex program roadmaps, dependencies, risks, budgets, forecasts, vendors, and resources.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical programs, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to executive leadership.

• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.

• Experience establishing or operating within structured technology governance and compliance environments.

• Ability to lead effectively within complex, matrixed, and evolving enterprise environments.

• Direct program leadership experience implementing Enterprise AMI/Image Factory capabilities.

• Experience managing golden image lifecycle programs across AWS, Azure, Azure Local, or VMware environments.

• Experience leading enterprise multi-cloud automated patching initiatives.

• Working knowledge of Azure Arc, Azure Update Manager, Azure Policy, and AWS Systems Manager.

• Experience delivering Infrastructure as Code programs using Terraform.

• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or enterprise CI/CD pipeline automation.

• Strong understanding of Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, Cloud Governance, and Site Reliability/Cloud Operations practices.

• Experience leading cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, or enterprise automation programs.

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Planisware, or comparable portfolio/program management platforms.

• PMP, SAFe Agilist, SAFe Lean Portfolio Management, PMI-ACP, or related professional certification.

• Experience managing cloud transformation programs spanning both AWS and Azure environments.
