Expert AI Solutions Analyst / AI Program Lead

The individual will work closely with business leaders, data scientists, ML engineers, software engineers, and technology teams to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions and ensure successful delivery from strategy and design through production and ongoing optimization. The ideal candidate will combine strong AI/ML technical expertise, program leadership, solution architecture, stakeholder management, and delivery experience.

Location: Remote, but Oakland, CA, Rancho Cordova, CA or Alpharetta, GA locations are preferred for occasional in-person activities

Job Summary
We are seeking an Expert AI Solutions Analyst / AI Program Lead to lead the end-to-end delivery of AI and Machine Learning initiatives across the organization. This role expands the traditional ML Lead responsibility to encompass Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, advanced analytics, and ML solutions.
The ideal candidate will combine strong AI/ML technical expertise, program leadership, solution architecture, stakeholder management, and delivery experience. The individual will work closely with business leaders, data scientists, ML engineers, software engineers, and technology teams to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions and ensure successful delivery from strategy and design through production and ongoing optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI, ML, and Generative AI programs, from ideation and requirements through implementation, deployment, and optimization.
• Own the overall AI/ML program roadmap, delivery strategy, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource planning.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI/ML can drive measurable business value.
• Translate business requirements into AI/ML solution strategies, architectures, and technical roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership across machine learning, deep learning, Generative AI, NLP, LLMs, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation.
• Oversee the development, testing, deployment, and monitoring of ML and AI models in production environments.
• Lead cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Business Analysts.
• Establish standards and best practices for MLOps, model lifecycle management, data quality, model monitoring, scalability, and reliability.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools, frameworks, and platforms and determine their applicability to business use cases.
• Guide teams in developing and deploying LLM-based applications, RAG solutions, AI agents, prompt engineering, and GenAI capabilities, where applicable.
• Ensure AI solutions meet requirements for security, privacy, responsible AI, governance, compliance, explainability, and model risk management.
• Manage program-level risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests and communicate status to executive stakeholders.
• Define and track KPIs, success criteria, business outcomes, and ROI for AI/ML initiatives.
• Coordinate with cloud and technology teams to leverage platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for AI/ML workloads.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing ML solutions through model retraining, optimization, automation, and performance improvements.
• Support vendor evaluation, technology selection, POCs, and implementation decisions.
• Develop executive-level presentations, program updates, roadmaps, and delivery reports.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or related technology domains.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end AI/ML programs or large-scale technology initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Generative AI, LLMs, and predictive analytics.
• Experience translating business requirements into AI/ML solutions and technical architectures.
• Strong knowledge of MLOps and the AI/ML model lifecycle, including development, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Experience working with cloud-based AI/ML platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex programs involving multiple technology and business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of data engineering, data pipelines, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and modern data platforms.
• Excellent program management, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex AI/ML concepts effectively to both technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and foundation models.
• Experience with frameworks/tools such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, or similar AI technologies.
• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and LLMOps.
• Experience implementing Responsible AI / AI Governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, SAFe, or other enterprise delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing large enterprise AI transformation programs.
• Relevant certifications in AI/ML, Cloud, Data Science, or Program Management.
