You already know how to run a room. You can read a nervous dog from across the lobby, keep three appointments moving at once, and have what the doctor needs in hand before they ask. If you’ve got surgery, anesthesia, or dental experience too, even better. At Harbor Point Animal Hospital in Mooresville, the 2025 AAHA Accredited Practice of the Year, we’re hiring an Experienced Veterinary Assistant ready to put all of that to work.

Our full-service hospital covers wellness, surgery, dentistry, and everything in between for companion animals, with fear-free handling built into every visit. What You’ll Help Make Possible

• Exam rooms that run efficiently, with every patient prepped and ready
• Smooth surgery, anesthesia, and dental days, backed by your experience
• A medical team that can count on you to anticipate what’s coming next
• Calm, safe handling for every patient, no matter how nervous
• Clients who leave every visit informed and reassured

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• 3-5 years of experience in a veterinary setting
• Advanced exam room skills, including running rooms efficiently and keeping appointments on schedule
• Strong patient restraint and handling skills
• Availability for four shifts per week, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, including about 1-2 Saturdays every four weeks

Preferred:

• Surgery, anesthesia, or dental experience (a strong plus, but not required)
• Fear-free handling experience
• Strong customer service, communication, and adaptability

Schedule

• Full-time, Day shift
• Four days per week, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• About one Saturday every four weeks (1 to 2 per month)
• No holiday shifts required

Compensation
Compensation for this role ranges from $21.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience and role alignment.
