SMSI is a growing commercial HVACR service provider known for our quality workmanship and commitment to customer satisfaction. We specialize in supermarket refrigeration, including CO and conventional rack systems, and we're expanding our team of skilled professionals.

We’re seeking a highly experienced Supermarket Rack Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate has deep experience working with complex rack refrigeration systems in grocery stores or cold storage environments and can troubleshoot, repair, and optimize systems with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/div>
  • Diagnose and repair refrigeration rack systems (CO and HFC systems preferred)
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on refrigeration and control systems
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Handle compressor change outs, EEV retrofits, leak detection, and defrost issues
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Program and troubleshoot control systems (Emerson E2, Danfoss, etc.)
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Respond to emergency service calls with a sense of urgency and professionalism
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Complete service documentation and communicate findings with clients and management
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Mentor junior techs and help promote a safety -first culture
    <\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>
    • 5+ years of hands -on experience with supermarket rack systems
      <\/span><\/li>
    • EPA Universal Certification required
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Experience with CO transcritical racks is a strong plus
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Proficient in reading schematics and wiring diagrams
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Willing to participate in rotating on -call schedule
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Self -motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
