Friendly Powersports in Baton Rouge is seeking an experienced powersports technician to join our service department. We are looking for a dependable, skilled technician with strong diagnostic abilities and experience servicing motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, and other powersports vehicles.This is a full-time position for an experienced technician who takes pride in completing accurate, efficient repairs and providing quality workmanship.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical and electrical issuesPerform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairsComplete engine, transmission, fuel system, brake, suspension, and electrical repairsInstall accessories and complete manufacturer-recommended servicesDocument repairs and labor accurately on repair ordersCommunicate needed repairs and parts requirements to the service teamFollow manufacturer procedures and dealership safety standardsMaintain a clean and organized work areaComplete repairs correctly and within established time framesRequirementsMinimum of five years of technician or related mechanical experiencePowersports or motorcycle repair experience strongly preferredMust provide personal tools appropriate for the positionStrong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skillsAbility to read and follow service manuals and technical instructionsValid driver's license and clean driving recordMotorcycle endorsement preferred but not requiredMust be able to safely move, lift, and work around motorcycles and powersports vehiclesMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background checkCompensation and BenefitsUp to $35.00 per hour, depending on experienceHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurancePaid vacationSick leaveFull-time schedule
