Experienced Mill Helper - DIRECT HIRE

Hours:
1st Shift, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM (6 hours shifts available) or
3rd Shift, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (6 hours shifts available)
Pay:
$23.25 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Assist operator in loading coils onto pay-off reel
Operate jib cranes
Set up and tear down the exit end racking
Assist in stacking finished goods into proper packaging
Clean and paint equipment
Keep the work area clean
Banding/wrapping of finished goods according to packaging specs
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
Minimum Requirements:
Experience in a manufacturing or mill environment
Safety awareness, teamwork, responsibility, initiative
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Ability to read measurement tools (tape measure, caliper, micrometer)
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Read and understand manufacturing orders, quality check sheets, and part drawings
High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience operating jib cranes
Knowledge of banding and wrapping materials
Familiarity with measurement tools (tape measure, caliper, micrometer)
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in a mill or production setting
Other Requirements:
Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
