    Experienced Medical Assistant – Spine Surgery Practice

    Location: Northern Virginia (Sterling / Annandale)
    Position Type: Full-Time

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our busy surgical practice. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and administrative skills, thrive in a high-volume environment, and provide compassionate, efficient patient care.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Room patients and obtain accurate medical histories
    • Assist providers during examinations and procedures
    • Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper sterilization of instruments
    • Coordinate with providers, front desk, and billing team for seamless patient flow
    • Manage patient follow-up, referrals, and documentation
    • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards

     

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2+ years experience as a Medical Assistant (required)
    • Experience in orthopedics, spine, or surgical practice (strongly preferred)
    • Knowledge of EMR systems (Modmed preferred)
    • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and patient care standards
    • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
    • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
    • Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
