BG Staffing is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Supervisor / Apartment Maintenance Technician to support a multifamily community in Richmond, Virginia (23220). This position is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional service, maintaining community standards, and leading by example.

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the property's buildings, apartments, and common areas remain in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical maintenance skills, outstanding problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing a safe and welcoming living environment for residents.

Position Overview

This is a full-time opportunity offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule and competitive compensation. The successful candidate will oversee daily maintenance operations while performing a variety of hands-on maintenance tasks throughout the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities
• Respond to and complete resident service requests promptly and professionally
• Perform apartment turns and make-ready projects
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and general maintenance issues
• Conduct preventive maintenance on community systems and equipment
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and common areas to identify and resolve maintenance concerns
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
• Support resident satisfaction through exceptional customer service
• Assist with emergency maintenance needs when required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance experience required
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and appliance repair
• EPA Certification preferred
• Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and implement effective solutions
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
