Experienced LVN with Phlebotomy Experience – Operations Lead | Full Time

Location: San Francisco, CA 94105 (On Site).
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–4:30 PM.
Job Type: W-2, Full Time, Non-Exempt.
Start Date: ASAP.
Pay Range: $80,000–$90,000/year, based on experience and qualifications.

Employer: A California physician-owned professional corporation (the “PC”).
Administrative Agent: VitalCheck Wellness Inc. (non-clinical support only).

Full Description

VitalCheck Wellness, as administrative agent for the PC, is seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with strong phlebotomy experience to work in an onsite employee health center in San Francisco, CA.

This is a hands-on LVN position with additional responsibility for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Health Center. The Operations Lead helps support patient flow, site readiness, staffing logistics, referrals, supplies, and routine clinic processes while continuing to provide direct patient care within LVN scope.

The employer will be a California professional corporation owned and directed by licensed physicians. The Health Center is located onsite within the offices of a major financial institution.

Responsibilities:

Health Center Operations

  • Coordinate daily Health Center operations, patient flow, site readiness, and routine staffing logistics.
  • Serve as a consistent onsite operational contact for PRN staff, schedule changes, and onboarding support.
  • Manage referral tracking, follow-up documentation, inventory, supplies, equipment, and vendor needs.
  • Monitor supply levels and expiration dates and coordinate restocking and ordering needs.
  • Support recurring team meetings, track action items, and communicate operational risks or follow-up needs to leadership.
  • Reinforce established workflows, policies, and checklists and escalate recurring operational, staffing, or compliance concerns.
  • Support scheduling, front-desk activities, patient communications, educational initiatives, and Health Center events as needed.

LVN Clinical Support

  • Perform patient intake, rooming, vital signs, clinical documentation, and other LVN duties within scope.
  • Perform phlebotomy and collect blood, urine, and other specimens.
  • Conduct point-of-care testing and accurately document results.
  • Perform EKGs.
  • Administer medications and vaccines within LVN scope, applicable orders, and employer protocols.
  • Prepare examination rooms and assist licensed providers with patient-care activities.
  • Support follow-up coordination, referrals, and patient instructions as directed by the appropriate provider.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and operational documentation.
  • Escalate patient-safety concerns, clinical questions, and operational issues appropriately.
  • Provide professional, responsive, and patient-centered service.

Requirements:

  • Active, unrestricted California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
  • Current BLS (CPR) certification.
  • Minimum 3+ years of LVN clinical experience.
  • Strong, current phlebotomy experience required.
  • Experience administering vaccines and medications within LVN scope.
  • Experience with patient intake, vital signs, specimen collection, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and routine ambulatory clinical support.
  • Previous experience in clinical coordination, healthcare operations, lead responsibilities, or similar onsite clinic support strongly preferred.
  • Experience with referrals, scheduling, patient follow-up, and front-office workflows.
  • Strong organizational, communication, patient-service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple recurring workflows and work independently onsite.
  • Ability to troubleshoot routine issues and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and standard office technology.
  • Ability to reliably commute to San Francisco, CA 94105.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable post-offer screening requirements.
