Position Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. We need a technician who can work independently on job sites, read and interpret plans and code requirements, and deliver quality workmanship while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, panels, and fixtures in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications to plan and complete electrical work.
- Diagnose electrical issues in wiring, circuits, controls, and equipment, and perform necessary repairs.
- Pull permits and coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions as required.
- Complete service reports, job documentation, and customer records.
- Coordinate materials, tools, and schedules with project leads and office staff.
- Respond to emergency service calls and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Follow manufacturer procedures, electrical codes, and company safety policies.
- Supervise and mentor apprentices on job sites as needed.
- Assist with other electrical maintenance and service work as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license in good standing.
- Several years of hands-on electrical installation, maintenance, or repair experience.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and safely use diagnostic and testing equipment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple job sites.
- OSHA training or certification is a plus.
- Generator, controls, or transfer-switch experience is a plus.
