Description

Curtis Machine Company is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment throughout our manufacturing facility. This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have hands-on industrial maintenance experience and be able to diagnose equipment problems-not simply replace parts based on instructions.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipmentTroubleshoot CNC machines, production equipment, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and related systemsPerform preventive maintenance and document completed workIdentify the root cause of equipment failures and recommend lasting repairsRead electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and mechanical drawingsReplace bearings, belts, seals, switches, sensors, motors, and other componentsAssist with equipment installation, alignment, and startupPerform basic welding and fabrication when neededMaintain an organized inventory of maintenance parts and suppliesRespond promptly to breakdowns and communicate repair status to production supervisorsFollow lockout/tagout and all company safety proceduresMaintain the facility and support general building repairs as necessaryRequired Experience and QualificationsAt least 3 years of hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experienceDemonstrated mechanical troubleshooting and repair experienceWorking knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 120V, 240V, and 480V three-phase equipmentExperience with hydraulic and pneumatic systemsAbility to use meters, gauges, diagnostic tools, and standard maintenance equipmentAbility to read schematics, manuals, and technical drawingsAbility to work independently, prioritize repairs, and follow through until equipment is operationalMust provide specific examples of machinery personally diagnosed and repairedValid driver's license and dependable attendancePreferred QualificationsExperience maintaining CNC machine toolsFamiliarity with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial controlsWelding, machining, or fabrication experienceExperience with preventive-maintenance programsTechnical degree, industrial-maintenance certification, or applicable trade trainingPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and work around production machineryAbility to safely use ladders and work in confined or elevated areas when necessaryAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, temperature changes, and moving equipmentWhat We Are Looking ForWe need a dependable maintenance professional who takes ownership of equipment problems, investigates the actual cause of a failure, and completes repairs correctly.
