The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood development and be confident caring for an infant/young toddler. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional nanny looking for a long-term position with a wonderful family, who enjoys creating a structured, engaging, and nurturing environment.
The family is looking for someone who is dependable, proactive, attentive, and genuinely passionate about working with young children.
Benefits: 5 days paid vacation, 2 paid sick days, 2 paid personal days, and 6 paid holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas)
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, hands-on care for a 1-year-old
- Plan and engage the child in age-appropriate activities, outings, and play
- Support developmental milestones, language and speech development, emotional regulation, and early learning
- Establish and maintain consistent daily routines around meals, naps, play, and activities
- Create a safe, calm, nurturing, and stimulating environment
- Encourage age-appropriate independence, social skills, and positive behavior
- Prepare healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks
- Handle bottles and other feeding-related tasks
- Keep the child's bedroom, play areas, and common areas neat and organized
- Clean bottles, dishes, and items used by the child
- Handle light child-related laundry and organization
- Maintain a tidy and organized environment throughout the child's day
Requirements:
- Professional nanny or childcare experience with infants and toddlers is required
- Strong understanding of infant and toddler development
- Warm, nurturing, patient, and highly attentive
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to a long-term position
- Proactive and capable of taking initiative throughout the day
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach to working with parents
- Strong references from previous childcare positions
