This position is heavily focused on operating advanced material-handling equipment in a fast-paced cold-storage environment.This is not an entry-level forklift position. Our warehouse utilizes modern, highly specialized forklift equipment that requires strong operating skills, excellent safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in tight warehouse and freezer storage areas. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of safe and productive forklift operation in warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or cold-storage environments.Primary ResponsibilitiesForklift OperationsSafely operate advanced forklift and tow motor equipment throughout warehouse and freezer storage areasMove finished product from production lines into designated freezer storage locationsLoad, unload, stack, relocate, and retrieve palletized products accurately and efficientlyPlace and remove product from storage locations while maintaining inventory accuracyNavigate warehouse aisles and storage areas safely while maintaining productivity standardsPerform daily forklift inspections and report any equipment concernsMaintain proper product rotation and storage organizationFollow all OSHA, company, and food safety regulations regarding forklift operationPrevent product damage through safe handling and proper equipment operationWarehouse & Order FulfillmentAccurately pick customer orders for shipmentVerify quantities and product selections before loadingSupport inventory organization and warehouse housekeepingMonitor production output and transfer finished goods to storageMaintain cleanliness and organization of freezer and warehouse areasAssist with additional warehouse duties as assignedRequired QualificationsMinimum 3 years of forklift or tow motor operating experience preferredPrevious experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or cold-storage environmentDemonstrated ability to safely operate forklifts in a fast-paced workplaceForklift certification or the ability to become certifiedStrong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safetyHigh School Diploma or GEDAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood mathematical and inventory-handling skillsAbility to multitask and maintain accuracy under pressureReliable attendance and strong work ethicPreferred QualificationsExperience operating high-reach, stand-up, or specialty forklift equipmentCold-storage or freezer warehouse experienceExperience with inventory management systems and warehouse scanning technologyFood manufacturing or food distribution experiencePhysical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to work in freezer temperatures as low as -30°F for periods of 30-45 minutes at a timeFrequently stand, walk, bend, climb, reach, and twist throughout the shiftAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds with assistanceAbility to push and pull loaded pallets and warehouse materials safelyComfortable working in warehouse, freezer, production, and occasional outdoor environmentsAbility to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environmentEquipment & ApparelProvided by Toft Dairy:Insulated coverallsThermal freezer glovesEmployee Provided:Thermal socksAdditional cold-weather glovesWinter coat/jacketWarm hat or cold-weather head coveringCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive full-time pay based on experienceConsistent Monday-Friday scheduleMedical insurance with prescription coverageDental, vision, and life insurance optionsPaid vacation, holidays, and sick time401(k) with company matchAbout Toft DairyFor over 126 years, Toft Dairy has been committed to producing quality dairy products while serving customers throughout the region.
