Tradeco Construction Staffing is seeking an experienced Dirt Hoe / Excavator Operator for an underground utility and civil construction project in Thonotosassa, FL.
We are looking for a dependable, safety-conscious operator with strong experience operating excavators on underground utility projects. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working alongside pipelayers and underground utility crews while performing accurate trenching, excavation, grading, and earthmoving operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate excavators for trenching, excavation, grading, and underground utility installation.
- Dig trenches to specified depths, widths, and grades.
- Work alongside pipelayers and underground utility crews.
- Perform precision excavation around existing utilities and structures.
- Assist with pipe bedding, backfilling, and material placement.
- Read grade stakes, elevations, and site plans.
- Maintain safe excavation and trenching practices.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Communicate effectively with foremen, ground personnel, and spotters.
- Maintain production while protecting existing underground infrastructure.
