Experienced Commercial Carpenter

Elite Construction Design Management is seeking an experienced Commercial Carpenter to perform high-quality rough and finish carpentry on commercial construction projects. This is a hands-on trade position. The Carpenter will focus on completing assigned field work safely, accurately, and efficiently in accordance with project plans, specifications, quality standards, and schedules.

The ideal candidate is a skilled, dependable craft professional with extensive commercial carpentry experience and a strong command of construction materials, methods, tools, and installation techniques. This person can interpret drawings, solve field problems, produce precise work with minimal direction, and contribute effectively as a member of the project team. Success in this role is measured by craftsmanship, productivity, reliability, and safe work practices.

·         Perform commercial rough and finish carpentry, including layout, framing, blocking, backing, doors, hardware, trim, casework, and other assigned installations.

·         Execute assigned carpentry work safely, accurately, and efficiently while meeting established production goals and project deadlines.

·         Review project plans, specifications, and construction documents before beginning work and perform installations in accordance with design and contract requirements.

·         Measure, lay out, cut, assemble, install, adjust, and repair materials and building components to required tolerances.

·         Inspect personal work for fit, finish, alignment, durability, and compliance with established quality standards.

·         Follow OSHA requirements, company policies, and jobsite safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.

·         Identify field conditions, conflicts, damaged materials, and constructability concerns, and promptly communicate them to the appropriate supervisor.

·         Safely operate, maintain, and store hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other assigned equipment.

·         Work cooperatively with the project superintendent, foremen, and other trades to sequence assigned tasks, avoid conflicts, and minimize rework.

·         Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards, and protect completed work and finishes.

·         Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, punctuality, accountability, and respect for coworkers, clients, and occupied spaces.
