Brick Mason
Position Summary:
This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Pay Depends on Experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lay brick, block, stone, and other masonry materials according to project plans and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout measurements.
- Mix mortar and prepare materials for installation.
- Repair and replace damaged masonry on existing structures.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and applicable building codes.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, mixers, saws, and other masonry equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with laborers, foremen, superintendents, and other trades to ensure efficient project completion.
- Identify and communicate material needs or project concerns to supervisors.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of brick masonry experience preferred (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
- Strong understanding of masonry techniques and building practices.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work on scaffolding for extended periods.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to safely use masonry tools and equipment.
