Join Our Team:
Franconia Auto Care is looking for an experienced, dependable Automotive Technician to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia.

We are a busy, established automotive repair facility servicing domestic and foreign vehicles. We are looking for a skilled mechanic who can independently diagnose vehicle problems, perform quality repairs, and take pride in doing the job right.

What We Offer:

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair domestic and foreign vehicles.
  • Perform engine, brake, steering, suspension, cooling system, and electrical repairs.
  • Diagnose check-engine lights and drivability concerns using automotive diagnostic equipment.
  • Identify vehicle problems and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Communicate diagnostic findings and repair recommendations clearly to the service advisor.
  • Perform repairs accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform Virginia State Safety Inspections if currently licensed.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of professional automotive repair experience preferred.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles independently.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
  • Must have your own automotive repair tools.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional.
  • Virginia State Safety Inspector certification is a plus, but not required.
  • ASE certifications are welcome but not required.

Work Schedule:
  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
