Description

A small animal general practice in the Piedmont Triad is hiring an experienced Associate Veterinarian.

The practice operates two hospitals with a close-knit, long-tenured team, Fear Free handling, and real clinical autonomy for doctors. Caseload includes preventive care, sick visits, selected urgent cases, routine soft tissue surgery, and a strong dermatology component, with about 30% to 40% of cases involving ears and skin.

Key Highlights:

  • 3 to 5 days per week, starting from a four-day week
  • Saturday rotation every third week, ending around noon
  • No on-call, overnight hospitalization, or overnight shifts
  • About 2:1 support staff ratio
  • Digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house IDEXX lab, endoscope, and monitored surgical suite
  • New dental machine coming and dental suite planned
  • Practice ownership interest available for discussion

About You:

  • DVM or VMD from an accredited school
  • Valid North Carolina veterinary license, or eligible
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience preferred
  • Confident with routine soft tissue surgery, sound referral judgment, and clear communication
