Experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager

IMT Residential is looking for an an Experienced Assistant Service Manager to become the right hand of our Service Manager at IMT Woodland Meadows, a 248-unit community in Spring, just north of Houston.

Assistant Service Manager (Lead Maintenance Technician) – IMT Woodland Meadows | Spring, TX

• Pay - $25.00 - $28.00/hr. depending upon skills and experience related to the role

Position Details:

Why you’ll like working here

• Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm. Your weekends are yours (outside your shared on-call rotation).
• A real path to Service Manager. You’ll work side by side with the Service Manager on leading the team, managing vendors, and keeping the property running, building the experience you need for your next move up.
• Tools are provided. IMT supplies your assigned tool set, so you’re not buying or replacing your own.
• A shared on-call rotation. You rotate with the technicians, so after-hours emergencies never fall on one person.

What you’ll do

• Lead by example, diagnosing and fixing issues across apartment homes, common areas, and exteriors, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, and pools
• Partner with the Service Manager to lead, train, and mentor the maintenance team
• Help hold the team and vendors to high quality standards so the work gets done right the first time
• Get apartments move-in ready on time so new residents feel at home from day one
• Keep the grounds looking great for residents, prospects, and guests
• Take on special projects with the Service Manager and Community Manager

What we’re looking for

• Maintenance experience in residential property management
• Well-rounded hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, and pools
• EPA 608 certification (Type I, Type II, or Universal) – required
• Leadership ability, whether that’s formally leading a team or being the go-to person who trains new techs
• A positive attitude and a drive to keep growing
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfort learning tools like Outlook, Ops Technology, and SuiteSpot (we’ll help you get up to speed)
• Availability to share the on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
• A valid driver’s license

Bonus points for: CPO certification (or interest in getting it)
