Experienced Analyst / Associate – Direct Lending | Boston, MA | Hybrid | $200K–$250K All-In
A leading private credit investment firm is expanding its Lower Middle Market investment team following a successful recent fundraising and is looking to add several Analyst/Associate-level professionals.
The team recently raised Fund IV, which, together with SMAs and leverage, represents nearly $11B of investible capital. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Direct Lending / Private Credit and gain meaningful exposure to underwriting and investment decisions.
The Role
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday–Thursday in office, Friday remote
Total Compensation: $200K–$250K all-in
Start: Immediate / Q3–Q4 2026

The Role
- Evaluate new investment opportunities and determine whether the firm should lend to a company
- Perform detailed credit analysis and due diligence
- Build financial models analyzing capital structures, cash flows, and downside scenarios
- Prepare credit memorandums and Investment Committee materials
- Analyze comparable companies and industry data
- Monitor existing portfolio investments and evaluate follow-on opportunities
- Participate in Investment Committee discussions
- Work closely with the investment team on additional underwriting and portfolio projects
- 1–3 years of experience in:
- Private Credit / Direct Lending
- Leveraged Finance
- Investment Banking
- Corporate Banking
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3.5+ GPA / strong academic record
- Excellent financial modeling and credit analysis skills
- Strong accounting and Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Close attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership
