Experience Designer Lead
Position Location: Pittsburgh, PA, 15222 (Preferred) or Dallas, TX, 75240 or Austin TX.
Onsite 5 days a week
Length of Assignment: 12 Months Contract to Hire role
Pay Rate: $50-60/hr. on W2 ONLY
Function of the Group: Design and delivery of customer-facing experiences in the Client Mobile app- Mobile product Design.
Initiatives/Projects: Design across iOS and Android platforms
Industry background: Banking or financial experience- preferred, open to other industries.
Must Have: Native Mobile design experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Executes UX and UI designs for native mobile digital products under the guidance of senior and lead designers.
Applies human-centered design principles and established experience standards.
Uses Figma and enterprise design systems to produce scalable and accessible designs.
Partners with product and engineering teams throughout delivery.
Produces design artifacts including wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes.
Incorporates feedback from design critiques and usability insights.
Supports risk management, compliance, accessibility, and audit needs as part of the first line of defense.
Contributes to improving design quality and consistency across the mobile product ecosystem.
Executing designs for native mobile experiences using established design patterns, standards, and frameworks.
Leveraging Client s design system to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across features and journeys.
Must Have Technical Skills:
1. 8+ years of professional experience as a product designer or UX/UI designer,
2. Strong hands-on experience designing native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android),
3. Expert proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout, and prototyping,
4. Experience working within and applying enterprise design systems,
5. Solid understanding of UX, UI, interaction design, and accessibility fundamentals,
6. Experience collaborating with product managers, developers, and other designers in agile teams,
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver production-ready design assets.
8. Prior Client or Banking Background HIGHLY PREFERRED.

4. Describe a situation where you had to explain a complex design decision to a non-technical stakeholder, such as a business partner or executive. How did you communicate your rationale, and what was the outcome?
Interview Process:
1st Round: 30 min virtual interview with manager. 2nd Round: 30 min virtual interview with skip level manager. 3rd Round: 45 min virtual interview and portfolio review showcasing 1-2 case studies with a Mobile Design team member and manager.
