System One is seeking an Expeditor to support the Purchasing group in executing the procurement process across multiple specialized areas including equipment, valves, piping, civil/structural, raw materials, and major equipment in support of construction activities. Experience supporting internal stakeholders such as project managers, quality control, and field personnel.

Pay Rate: $28.00/hr (W2)

Overview
System One is seeking an Expeditor to support the Purchasing group in executing the procurement process across multiple specialized areas including equipment, valves, piping, civil/structural, raw materials, and major equipment in support of construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain an open order report of procurement purchase orders (POs) placed.
• Initiate and maintain supplier contact through final receipt of shipments.
• Monitor project delivery timelines and ensure PO delivery dates are met as promised.
• Request verification of deliveries on procurement orders as required.
• Track progress of the approval drawing process.
• Review open PO commitments and adjust as needed to support customer delivery requirements.
• Notify project managers and buyers of delays to coordinate around challenging deliveries.
• Provide regular updates to the production team on materials needed for fabricators.
• Work with suppliers to resolve issues and support on-time delivery, product quality, and cost adherence.
• Assist Accounting with resolution of supplier invoicing discrepancies.
• Communicate and distribute documentation to support timely receiving procedures.
• Serve as a single point of contact for receiving issues across warehouse, field, and fabrication shops.
• Create end-to-end visibility of order status within the ERP system by adding internal notes per line item.
• Support cost savings initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience expediting / procuring industrial equipment.
• Experience working in an ERP system (Infor, SAP, or similar).
• Experience supporting internal stakeholders such as project managers, quality control, and field personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

• General knowledge of piping materials.
• Strong communication skills.

This is an onsite position in Katy, Texas.
