    Description

    Position: Production ExpeditorDepartment: ProductionReporting Structure: Reports to Production ManagerReporting to this position: No direct reportsShift: 1st Shift (7:00am to 3:30pm) & 2nd Shift (3:30pm to 12:00am)

    BASIC FUNCTION

    Responsible for the daily movement and accountability of all production materials and finished goods transfer functions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Compliance with cGMP (current Manufacturing Practices) and all Company SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures).Supply Production Floor and/or Manufacturing department with required component inventory per required production schedule.Ensure that all materials are properly tagged and labeled using LPN system as required (License Plate Numbering).Maintain and verify all documentation relating to production to warehouse and vice versa material movements. Use of RF scanner required.Ensure that all pallets have been properly secured and scanned for transport.Upon completion of order, ensure that all components/materials are properly removed from the line, labeled, scanned, and accounted for. Stage remaining items to be returned to warehouse inventory.Prior to the end of shift, ensure that next shift is properly supplied for upcoming production and manufacturing.Wisys Knowledge, capable to navigate and successfully capable to use the application to locate bulk or components.Capable of training entry level Material Handlers and/or Expeditors.Perform other related duties as assigned.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Basic knowledge of handheld bar code scanners; RFID devices (Radio Frequency Identification Devices).Must communicate effectively using Basic English communication and written skills.Basic computer knowledge.Time Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.Individuals must be able to operate equipment such as but not limited to; pallets jacks, forklifts, drum movement equipment.Strong team playerCommitment to company valuesHas basic working knowledge and understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Specific vision requirements for the use of computer monitors include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/ or manually move up to 70lbs.

    EDUCATION / TRAINING

    High school diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years' experience in chemical warehouse and/or manufacturing environment of cosmetics/personal care products.

    This position is classified non-exempt.
