Description
The Expeditor/Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the procurement and flow of parts and materials to and from the various departments within the facility. Will oversee, coordinate and document all new and existing assets using both the Computerized Maintenance Management System (“CMMS”) and the Control of Hazardous Energy Compliance Program (“CHECP”). Will work directly with vendors to facilitate the accurate and timely delivery of goods to appropriate locations and will ensure that items are inspected and adhere to quality and quantity specifications.
Job Responsibilities
Ability to meet deadlines, work well under pressure, and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, is required. Must be able to plan, organize, prioritize, develop, and direct activities associated with the expediting of parts and materials, as well as read and interpret documents such as operation and maintenance manuals, procedure manuals and drawings. The ability to track the interconnection of all parts and materials orders for on-going projects from beginning to end, including maintaining historical records, is necessary.
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial or commercial facilities is required. Basic understanding of the mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC and plumbing fields is preferred. Experience with a CMMS system and a CHECP, including data entry and scheduling, is also preferred.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a technical training program in a maintenance trade or completion of a technical education program is preferred.
Licenses and/or Certifications: Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license. Completion of the OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Safety and Health Training is preferred.
Physical Demands: Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation to ensure the health and safety of oneself and others are maintained. This includes, but is not limited to, physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, legs and the whole body such as climbing (including ladders), kneeling, sitting, standing, working from elevated areas, lifting up to 50 lbs., balancing, walking, stooping, handling heavy objects, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, using a keyboard, and using tools, as well as manual dexterity and visual acuity, hearing and speaking. Must qualify for and possess the ability to perform entry into confined spaces while wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as, but not limited to, canister and dust masks, as well as Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), in compliance with PVSC’s Facial Hair Grooming Policy.
Working Conditions: Workers are employed in conditions associated with a wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system and may be required to work indoors and outdoors depending upon the nature of the position.
The expected base pay range is $94,914 to $140,110. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, education, training, and formal credentials.
