Onsite Job - Expediter / Crane & Forklift Operator II

Work Location: SC-Aiken-15 Windham Blvd

Duration: 06 Months - Temporary to Hire

Shift: 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Work Schedule: 3/12

Position Description

Client is seeking an Expediter II to join our CMS Operations team within Platforms & Services. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our manufacturing operations, ensuring that high-quality components are produced safely and efficiently to meet rigorous defense specifications. This position will grow and learn within the Client operations group to help the team achieve production needs.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Assembly

• Load and unload parts onto weld tables and fixtures.

• Stage weldments and fixtures as needed in production areas or "lay-down" areas.

Quality Assurance

• Review paperwork before moving items to the next operation.

• Keep an eye out for damaged parts or components.

Problem Solving

• Basic problem-solving skills in a weld and machine environment.

Material Handling

• Have or achieve forklift certification.

• Have the aptitude to safely use all material handling equipment, including but not limited to various forklifts, hand carts, cranes, rigging equipment, magnets, and other material handling tools/equipment.

Safety & Maintenance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in strict accordance with company safety protocols.

• Be a champion of safety for other employees.

Team Support

• Perform additional duties as required to support overall team objectives and production schedules.

Requirements & Qualifications

Certification

• Must become forklift and crane/rigging qualified or certified within two months.

Technical Skill

• Ability to operate forklifts and lifting equipment in a safe and reliable manner.

Safety Mindset

• A commitment to promoting a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.

Professionalism

• Maintain a high level of professional conduct and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Skills Required

• Ability to successfully pass crane and rigging training within two months of hire.

• Crane and rigging (lifting) certification or qualification.

Experience Required

• Forklift experience and certification or qualification.

Education / Experience

• 1+ year of experience with high school diploma or equivalent at minimum.
