Expansion Budget Analyst
Location: Remote, Raleigh, NC
Duration: 12 months
Overview:
Seeking for a Expansion Budget Analyst to support financial participation for system and program activities funded through Advance Planning Documents. Ensure spending aligns with approved budgets and reporting requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report on expenditures according to approved budgets and federal requirements.
- Perform detailed fund analysis and reconcile actual spend to budget.
- Track spending by project phase and report on budget status and remaining balances.
- Prepare, review, and process journal vouchers for related activities.
- Analyze pharmacy rebate collections and spend, reconcile rebate receivables, and report on cost trends.
Qualifications:
- Experience in budget analysis, financial reporting, or federal funds management, preferably in healthcare finance.
- Familiarity with federal financial participation and Advance Planning Documents.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze spending and reconcile data.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple reporting requirements.
Must Have Skills:
- 3 years of experience in budget analysis, accounting, or financial reporting, preferably in government or healthcare finance.
- 3 years of experience executing against multiple priorities/projects.
- Proficient use of project collaboration and tracking tools (Microsoft Project Suite, MS Teams, Zoom, etc.).
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- 3 years of experience monitoring contract spend on multiple contracts.
- Experience with tracking fund utilization across state and federal sources.
