Minimum requirements: an Associate Degree or higher, 48+ college units, or a High School Diploma/GED with passing the Instructional Aide exam; criminal background check; negative TB clearance; reliable commute to Oakland, CA; availability Monday-Friday afternoons; commitment to education equity and teamwork.
Preferred: full school year commitment, strong communication skills, participation in professional development, and bilingual English/Spanish.
Responsibilities include supporting students' emotional well-being, maintaining a safe environment, serving as a positive role model, engaging students with fun lesson plans, facilitating community circles with restorative practices, and collaborating with youth on their learning and development.
