    An Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) plays a key clinical role in supporting providers by performing advanced restorative procedures, assisting chairside, and ensuring efficient patient flow. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dental practice.

    Chairside & Patient Care

    • Prepare and seat patients; ensure comfort before, during, and after treatment
    • Take radiographs, digital scans, and impressions
    • Review medical/dental history and document findings
    • Provide post-op instructions and patient education
    • Support treatment plan discussions and case acceptance

    Operatory & Clinical Support

    • Set up, break down, and disinfect operatories
    • Maintain sterilization and OSHA compliance
    • Monitor inventory and restock supplies
    • Assist with lab cases, impressions, and tracking

    Team & Administrative Support

    • Maintain accurate clinical documentation
    • Collaborate with doctors, hygienists, and front office team
    • Assist with scheduling flow and patient transitions
    • Support team needs in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

    Requirements

    Qualifications Minimum of a High School Diploma; minimum 1 Year experience as an EFDA; maintain current EFDA license; maintain current CPR certification; maintain CE requirements

    Working Conditions Primarily a controlled office environment with regular exposure to clinical situations.

    • Maintain current PA EFDA license and CE requirements
    • Maintain current CPR certification

    Training Schedule is Monday-Friday for the first week.

    12 Hour Shifts/Every other weekend Shift differential applies to Saturdays!
