Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Expanded Function Dental Assistant to join our team at Vail Family Dentistry. The Expanded Function Dental Assistant will be responsible for providing a variety of dental services, such as taking impressions, placing fillings, and performing routine dental procedures. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with patients in a professional and friendly manner.

Responsibilities:

Assist dentists in providing dental services to patients

Take impressions, place fillings, and perform other routine dental procedures

Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments

Sterilize and disinfect instruments

Maintain accurate patient records

Educate patients on dental hygiene and preventive care

Ensure patient comfort and safety during dental procedures

Assist with administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Certified Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Previous experience in a dental office

Knowledge of dental instruments and materials

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
