ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an Executive Sous Chef for a full-service restaurant in Narragansett, Rhode Island. This is a senior kitchen leadership role supporting the Executive Chef in all aspects of culinary operations, team development, and maintaining exceptional food quality and consistency. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, team-oriented leader who brings strong technical skills and the ability to build an equitable, respectful kitchen culture.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Support the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations and ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and efficiency across all service periods
Lead, develop, and motivate the kitchen team, building strong working relationships at all levels
Manage daily prep, production, and service execution in line with established standards
Assist with menu development, costing, and inventory management
Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and kitchen hygiene standards
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance kitchen environment
Maintain flexible availability to support business needs, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
WHAT YOU BRING
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a full-service establishment
Culinary Arts degree preferred; exceptional experience will also be considered
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and inspire a kitchen team
A collaborative, team-first approach to kitchen leadership with a commitment to a respectful and equitable workplace
Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
Must have valid US work authorization - visa sponsorship is not available
