    About the Opportunity

    A full-service hotel in the Ontario Airport area is looking to identify an experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead all housekeeping operations across guest rooms and public areas.

    This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, consistency, and developing a dependable team. The Executive Housekeeper will oversee daily room operations, inspections, staffing, scheduling, linen and inventory while partnering closely with Front Office and Engineering to keep rooms available, address maintenance needs, and deliver a consistently strong guest experience.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
    • Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop room attendants, housepersons, supervisors, and other housekeeping team members
    • Conduct regular guest room and public area inspections to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards
    • Coordinate room status, priority rooms, early arrivals, VIPs, and room readiness with the Front Office
    • Monitor room turnaround times and adjust staffing and assignments based on occupancy and business levels
    • Partner with Engineering and Maintenance to identify room deficiencies and return rooms to inventory quickly
    • Oversee linen, guest supplies, cleaning products, equipment, and departmental inventory
    • Manage labor, scheduling, payroll, supplies, and other controllable department expenses
    • Maintain housekeeping procedures for deep cleaning, preventive care, lost and found, and quality control
    • Ensure compliance with hotel cleanliness, sanitation, workplace safety, and operating standards
    • Respond to guest concerns promptly and follow through to ensure appropriate resolution
    • Build a positive, accountable team culture focused on consistency, productivity, and guest satisfaction

    Ideal Experience

    • Previous housekeeping leadership experience within a hotel environment
    • Current or previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, Director of Housekeeping, or similar hotel leader
    • Full-service, upscale, airport, convention, or high-volume hotel experience preferred
    • Strong experience with room inspections, housekeeping scheduling, staffing, and productivity management
    • Proven ability to recruit, train, coach, and develop housekeeping teams
    • Working knowledge of linen management, inventory, cleaning procedures, sanitation, and housekeeping cost controls
    • Experience partnering with Front Office and Engineering to manage room readiness and maintenance needs
    • Strong organization, communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
    • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to remain organized during high occupancy and quick room turns
    • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays based on hotel needs
