The Executive Director of Clinical Outcomes reports directly to the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) and is classified as a salaried, exempt position. This role provides strategic oversight of quality initiatives, infection prevention, performance improvement, patient safety programs, and regulatory readiness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for quality improvement, patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance programs
  • Lead and oversee the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program to support continuous organizational improvement
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, physicians, clinical teams, and department leaders to achieve operational and clinical goals
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards
  • Oversee departmental operations including staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and performance management
  • Analyze clinical and operational data to identify trends and implement initiatives that improve patient outcomes
  • Serve as a subject matter expert regarding healthcare regulations, policies, accreditation standards, and best practices
  • Foster a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement
  • Support organizational readiness for surveys, audits, and inspections
  • Drive evidence-based initiatives that enhance quality metrics and operational efficiency
  • Mentor and support leadership development among department managers and clinical staff

Education Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) required
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or a comparable healthcare-related field required

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of hospital leadership experience required
  • Strong background in healthcare quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, or clinical operations preferred
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams within an acute care or hospital environment preferred
