    Description

    The incumbent will maintain a customer-oriented awareness in acknowledging and responding to needs as they occur so that customer satisfaction is met at all times. The Physician Compensation Analyst serves as an institutional resource for physician compensation analysis, financial modeling, productivity reporting, incentive plan evaluation, and decision support. The position provides analytical and strategic support to executive leadership, department chairs, faculty leadership, and clinical practice administration regarding physician compensation methodologies, productivity measures, financial forecasting, faculty incentive plans, and market benchmarking. The incumbent develops and maintains complex physician compensation models; analyzes faculty productivity, compensation, and financial performance; prepares executive-level reports and presentations; supports physician recruitment and retention analyses; and helps ensure that compensation plans align with organizational objectives, institutional policies, governance requirements, and applicable regulations. The position requires advanced analytical ability, financial acumen, sound judgment, attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to financial and non-financial audiences. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS & DUTIES 40% Physician Compensation Analysis and Administration Develop, maintain, and administer physician compensation plans, incentive programs, and productivity-based compensation methodologies. Analyze physician productivity metrics, including work RVUs, collections, quality measures, academic contributions, and clinical performance indicators. Perform physician compensation benchmarking using appropriate industry surveys and national data sources. Prepare compensation analyses and recommendations for executive leadership, department leaders, and physician stakeholders. Evaluate proposed compensation changes and provide financial impact assessments. Monitor compensation programs for alignment with institutional goals, policies, approvals, and applicable requirements. 25% Financial Modeling and Forecasting Develop complex financial models to support physician compensation planning and decision-making. Prepare forecasts related to compensation expense, physician productivity, faculty growth, and clinical revenue. Conduct scenario analyses and sensitivity testing to evaluate alternative compensation structures. Support strategic planning through financial analyses, projections, and business-case development. Identify operational and financial trends, risks, and opportunities. 20% Reporting and Decision Support Design and maintain physician compensation dashboards, scorecards, key performance indicators, and executive reports. Collect, validate, reconcile, analyze, and interpret data from multiple enterprise systems. Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for executive leadership, departments, committees, and governing boards. Present analytical findings and recommendations in a clear, concise, and actionable manner. 10% Governance, Compliance, and Audit Support Support physician compensation committees and faculty practice plan governance activities. Prepare meeting materials, reports, financial information, and presentations for leadership and board review. Assist with internal and external audits involving physician compensation and incentive programs. Maintain documentation supporting compensation methodologies, calculations, approvals, and audit recommendations. Coordinate with Finance, Human Resources, Faculty Affairs, Compliance, Legal, and departmental leadership as appropriate. 5% Other Duties and Special Projects Participate in strategic initiatives, software implementations, process-improvement projects, accreditation support, and special assignments. Provide analytical support for physician recruitment, retention, organizational growth, and other institutional priorities. Perform other duties as assigned. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs related duties and provides support for special projects as assigned, provided those duties are consistent with the position's purpose and the incumbent's qualifications. Regular attendance is required to perform the functions of this position. The work hours are generally Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
