    Description

    We are seeking a Center Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and education of the children in our care, while overseeing the operational management of the center. Balancing the needs of our students with the strategic goals of the center, you will drive curriculum development, staff leadership, facilities upkeep, regulatory compliance, and fiscal health to foster a positive, high-quality environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Leadership & Strategic Management

    • Define and execute a compelling vision for the center aligned with TLP's mission.
    • Promote an inspiring agency culture that maximizes employee satisfaction, morale, and retention.
    • Implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals while upholding top-tier quality standards.

    Operations, Finance & Compliance

    • Oversee all administrative functions, including payroll, HR, accounts payable/receivable, and tuition billing.
    • Develop and manage center budgets to ensure financial targets are met without compromising care quality.
    • Ensure strict adherence to state and local regulations, serving as the main contact for licensing agencies.
    • Establish and train staff on comprehensive health, illness, and emergency safety procedures.
    • Approve student meal plans and food purchases to meet developmental nutritional standards.

    Educational & Program Quality

    • Collaborate with educators to design engaging, state-compliant educational programs.
    • Oversee child records, portfolios, screenings, assessments, and parent conferences in accordance with GWTLP Procedural Instructions.
    • Maintain safe, clean, healthy, and well-organized indoor and outdoor learning environments at all times.

    Staff Development & Support

    • Identify staff training needs and coordinate development timelines with the Senior Director.
    • Manage teacher work improvement plans and recommend candidates for the T.E.A.C.H. scholarship.
    • Address conflicts promptly and fairly to maintain a supportive working environment.

    Family & Community Engagement

    • Build strong relationships with families through open communication, newsletters, and handbooks.
    • Schedule, plan, and facilitate 3 annual parent meetings as assigned by the Senior Director.
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date student enrollment records and conduct local community outreach.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Background Check: Must successfully pass a comprehensive 7-Year Background Screening.
    • Experience: Proven leadership experience in early childhood education, center management, or program administration.
    • Knowledge: Strong understanding of state/local child care licensing regulations, budget management, and early childhood curriculum.
    • Skills: Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, team-building, and organizational abilities.
