A top-tier global financial institution is seeking a seasoned credit and risk leader to head its Investment Fund and Client Portfolio team in New York City. This role blends strategic team leadership, client engagement, and hands-on credit oversight, providing an opportunity to drive portfolio performance while managing a high-performing team. The position is ideal for a results-driven professional looking to influence credit quality, guide risk management, and oversee complex investment portfolios.




Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the client portfolio team, establishing strategy, assigning goals, and monitoring performance to meet organizational objectives.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and promote financial products and services to institutional clients.
  • Oversee credit due diligence, transaction analysis, and approval processes, ensuring accurate assessments, regulatory compliance, and timely execution.
  • Own and manage portfolio risk as the first line of defense, monitoring transactions, covenants, and credit quality, while escalating issues appropriately.
  • Supervise post-disbursement processes including loan classification, KYC reviews, and follow-up on non-performing facilities.
  • Ensure the team adheres to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of risk awareness.
  • Allocate resources effectively, mentor team members, provide training, and cover responsibilities during team capacity gaps.
  • Support remediation and risk management initiatives, collaborating across departments to implement improvements.
  • Prepare reports, business research, and materials for senior management, ensuring timely communication of insights and outcomes.
