    Description

    The Executive Director / Administrator is responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of a 26–30 bed Assisted Living Facility. This hands-on leadership role ensures regulatory compliance, quality resident care, staff supervision, financial oversight, and occupancy growth. The Administrator serves as the on-site leader, promoting a safe, compassionate, and resident-centered environment.
     
    Key Responsibilities
    Daily Operations:
    • Oversee all daily functions of the community
    • Ensure compliance with state ALF regulations and licensing standards
    • Maintain survey readiness at all times
    • Monitor safety, sanitation, and building maintenance
    • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies as needed
     
    Resident Care Oversight:
    • Ensure residents receive appropriate assistance with ADLs
    • Oversee medication management systems and documentation
    • Review incident reports and implement corrective actions
    • Conduct resident and family meetings as needed
    • Promote dignity, engagement, and quality of life
     
    Staff Leadership:
    • Recruit, hire, train, and retain caregivers and med techs
    • Ensure proper staffing coverage for all shifts
    • Conduct staff meetings and performance evaluationsProvide ongoing coaching and support
    • Ensure staff training and certification compliance
     
    Financial Oversight:
    • Manage operating budget and expenses
    • Monitor payroll and staffing costs
    • Oversee billing and collections (if applicable)
    • Maintain occupancy goals and revenue targets
     
    Occupancy & Community Relations:
    • Conduct tours and assist with move-ins
    • Maintain relationships with families and referral sources
    • Represent the community in local outreach efforts
    • Support marketing initiatives
     
    Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Maintain required documentation and resident records
    • Ensure proper incident reporting
    • Oversee infection control practices
    • Maintain emergency preparedness plan
     
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in ALF or senior living preferred
    • Strong knowledge of state ALF regulations
    • Experience managing small teams
    • Basic financial and budgeting knowledge
