We'reseekinganexperiencedExecutiveCommercialLinesUnderwriter to join our growing Charlotte operation. In this role, you'll manage a portfolio ofmiddlemarketcommercialbusiness,partnercloselywithouragencynetwork,andmakecomplexunderwritingdecisionsthatdirectlyimpactportfolioperformanceandcompanyprofitability.
You'llhavetheopportunitytoworkwithadiverserangeofcommercialaccountswhilehelpingshapeagencystrategy,improveunderwritingresults,andidentifyopportunitiesforprofitablegrowth.

AsanExecutiveCommercialLinesUnderwriter,youwill:
Analyzeandunderwritecomplexnewandrenewalcommerciallinesaccountswithinestablishedauthoritylevels.
Evaluaterisksacrossabroadrangeofcommercialexposures,including:
Manageahigh-volumeagencyportfoliowithincreasedunderwritingauthorityanddecision-makingresponsibility.
Partnerwithindependentagentstoprovidecreativesolutionswhilemaintainingunderwritingdisciplineandprofitability.
Reviewapplications,losshistory,financialinformation,inspectionreports,andotherunderwritingdatatodetermineriskacceptability.
Communicateunderwritingappetite,coveragesolutions,pricingdecisions,anddeclinationseffectivelytoagencypartnersandinternalstakeholders.
Analyzeagencyperformancedataandidentifyopportunitiestoimproveprofitability,retention,andnewbusinessgrowth.
Participateinagencyreviewsandcollaborateonproductionandlossratioimprovementstrategies.
Buildstrongrelationshipswithagencypartnersbyprovidingresponsiveservice,technicalexpertise,andconsultativesupport.
Monitormarketplacetrends,competitoractivity,andemergingriskstosupportsoundunderwritingdecisions.
Utilizemanagementreportingandanalyticaltools,includingPowerBI,toevaluateportfolioperformanceandagencyopportunities.
Serveasatrustedunderwritingadvisorwhohelpsagenciesgrowprofitablebusinesswhileprotectingthelong-terminterestsoftheorganization.

Youmaybeagreatfitifyouhave:
5+yearsofCommercialLinesMiddleMarketunderwritingexperience.
Strongknowledgeof:
Experienceunderwritingcomplexcommercialaccountsandmanagingassignedagencyportfolios.
Demonstratedsuccessdrivingprofitableportfolioperformanceandagencygrowth.
Stronganalytical,negotiation,anddecision-makingskills.
Abilitytoevaluateriskbeyondtheindividualaccountandassessbroaderportfolioimpact.
Excellentcommunicationandrelationship-buildingabilities.
Abilitytoworkeffectivelybothindependentlyandcollaborativelyinafast-pacedenvironment.
Bachelor'sdegreepreferredorequivalentcombinationofeducationandexperience.
