years

secretarial

interpersonal
skills
Must
possess
proficient
computer
skills
Demonstrate
ability
to
effectively
communicate
with
others
Primary
Purpose:
The
Executive
Assistant
is
directly
responsible
for
the
operation
of
the
Superintendent's
Office.
The
Executive
Assistant
is
responsible
for
maintaining
contact
with
Board
of
Trustees;
managing
all
Board
records;
including
posting
agendas;
keeping
minutes;
preparing
for
board
meetings
and
board
elections;
and
arranging
trustee
travel
and
related
documents.
Performance
Responsibilities
and
Duties :
1.
Prepare
any
and
all
correspondence,
reports,
proposals,
recommendations,
and
announcements
for
Superintendent/Board
of
Trustees.
2.
Uses
positive
and
effective
communication
skills
to
greet
the
public
and
contact
the
Board
via
telephone
and
in
the
office
3.
Schedules
appointments
as
required.
4.
Opens,
reviews
and
distributes
correspondence
as
required
in
the
absence
of
the
Administrative
Assistant
5.
Maintains
Local
Board
Policy
Manual
and
Policy
Reference
Manual
for
the
District
also
maintains
Regulations
Resource
Manual,
and
Administrative
Regulations
Manual.

6.
Assist
with
the
preparation
of
materials
for
adoption/amendment
for
all
local
policy
manuals.
7.
Compiles
and
produces
accurate
minutes
for
all
School
Board
Meetings
and
sees
that
a
permanent
record
system
is
maintained.
8.
Maintains
an
efficient
filing
system
for
the
Superintendent.
9.
Assists
with
procedures
for
all
phases
of
School
Board
Trustee
Election/School
Bond
Election
(including
distribution
and
receipt
of
Application
for
a
Place
on
the
CISD
General
Election
Ballot,
Funds
Reporting
for
Candidates,
publications
according
to
election
timelines,
etc.)
10.
Maintains
accurate
files
for
Certified
Board
Member
Training.
11.
Ensures
confidentiality
of
any
and
all
matters
as
required.
12.
Working
in
cooperation
with
the
Administrative
Assistant
for
Administrative
Services.
13.
Performs
all
other
task/duties
as
assigned.
14.
Ability
to
attend
work
on
a
regular
and
routine
basis
to
avoid
disruption
to
District
operations.

and
students.

and
adheres

CISD
