    Executive Assistant to President/CEO, National Educational Organization, Fayette County, Georgia




    The President/CEO of a national organization dedicated to strengthening and growing educator preparation at Minority-Serving Institutions is seeking an Executive Assistant and Board Liaison to provide administrative support to her and to facilitate support for the executive leadership team. This position interfaces with many of the organization's stakeholders, including serving as the core point person for the Board of Directors.     About the Job:



    Executive Support


    ● Plans, coordinates and ensures the President/CEO's schedule is followed and respected. Provides "gatekeeper" and "gateway" role, creating win-win situations for direct access to the CEO's time and office.


    ● Communicates directly, and on behalf of the President/CEO, with Board members, donors, Foundation staff, and others, on matters related to CEO's programmatic initiatives.


    ● Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the President/CEO, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response.


    ● Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the President/CEO’s office and internal departments; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior management staff.


    ● Works closely and effectively with the President/CEO to keep her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Acts as a "barometer," having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping her updated.


    ● Provides leadership to build relationships crucial to the success of the organization and manages a variety of special projects for the President/CEO.


    ● Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting acknowledgement letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks that facilitate the President/CEO's ability to effectively lead the organization.


    ● Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.


    Board Liaison and Support


    ● Serves as the President/CEO’s administrative liaison to the organization's board of directors


    ● Assists board members with travel arrangements, lodging, and meal planning as needed


    ● Maintains discretion and confidentiality in relationships with all board members


    ● Adheres to compliance with applicable rules and regulations set forth in bylaws regarding board and board committee matters, including advance distribution of materials before meetings.


    Senior Management Liaison


    ● Participates as an adjunct member of the Executive Leadership Team including assisting in scheduling meetings and attending all meetings


    ● Assists in coordinating the agenda of Executive Team meetings and off-sites


    Communications, Partnerships, and Outreach


    ● Edits and completes first drafts for written communications to external stakeholders


    Strategic Initiatives


    ● Works with the Strategy team in coordinating the President's outreach activities


    ● Follows up on contacts made by the President and supports the cultivation of ongoing relationships


    ● Edits all, and creates acknowledgement letters from the President to donors


    ● Other ad hoc special projects



    About You:



    ● Bachelor's degree required in education, business, or relevant field


    ● A minimum of 3 years' work experience as an Executive Assistant


    ● Strong organizational, project management, and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands.


    ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to clarity, tone, and audience.


    ● Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; tech savvy and experienced with AI


    ● Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build authentic relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.


    ● Proven discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information.


    ● Creative and proactive problem-solver with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.


    ● High degree of flexibility, resourcefulness, and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.


    ● Self-directed and dependable, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through on tasks and responsibilities.


    ● Positive attitude and curiosity to learn, with dedication to continuous improvement and mission-aligned impact.


    ● Travel required including but not limited to their headquarters, various university/district sites, conferences and an annual staff retreat.
