    Description

    The Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University invites applications for an Executive Assistant in the Undergraduate Advising Center. This position serves as a key member of the advising team and provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and student support services that contribute to student success, retention, and timely degree completion. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for students, prospective students, parents, faculty, staff, and campus partners interacting with the Undergraduate Advising Center. Responsibilities include coordinating advising appointments, managing high-volume student communications, assisting with registration and graduation processes, maintaining student records, supporting advising initiatives, processing employment documents in the hiring verification workflow, and helping students navigate university policies and procedures. The position also supports the daily operations of the Advising Center through office management, event coordination, communication and outreach efforts, data reporting, purchasing, scheduling, and technology support. The Executive Assistant assists with planning and implementing orientation programs, recruitment activities, advising workshops, and other student success initiatives while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with university policies and FERPA regulations. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills; the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; and experience using technology and information systems to support student services. This position plays an important role in fostering a welcoming, student-centered environment and advancing the mission of the Jones College Undergraduate Advising Center.
