Principal/Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate excavators and other heavy machinery to perform excavation tasks.
Read and interpret blueprints and site plans.
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects.
Load and unload materials as needed.
Monitor and control the depth and grade of excavations.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with equipment.
Maintain accurate records of work performed.
Coordinate with other operators and workers on site.
Follow project timelines and meet deadlines.
Ensure the work area is clean and safe.
Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Assist with other construction tasks as needed.
Operate machinery in various weather conditions.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Provide input on improving operational efficiency.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Qualifications Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of experience operating excavators.
Strong understanding of construction processes.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site plans.
Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable and punctual.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Knowledge of environmental regulations.
Ability to operate other heavy machinery is a plus.
Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
