    Description

    Alliance Used Truck Center - Five Star Fire is in need of a qualified service technician to

    work on Emergency Vehicles on site and at our facility.

    Roles and responsibilities but not limited too

    • Inspect, repairs, and replaces components as required. Items such as engines, fuel, air, electrical, and cooling and HVAC systems components.
    • Performs repairs and servicing of equipment components I.E light towers, air and electric cord reels, eject (air and electric) and auxiliary charging systems.
    • Repairs not limited to pumps and related items for, Waterous, Hale, Darley, Akron, Elkhart. Electrical systems, foam systems, generators and 12V/110v/220v lighting and electrical systems
    • Troubleshoot, repair, and Test fire apparatus pumps in accordance with NFPA testing standards; testing all pumps following repair before returning to service
    • Thoroughly understand and Complete preventive maintenance inspections, servicing, and correcting discrepancies according to manufacturer guidelines, maintenance policies, directives, and advisories
    • Completes work order documents including descriptive outlines, noting time, parts, and supplies used.
    • Verifies working order of equipment after servicing is complete with a desire to ensure 0% comeback rates.
    • Assists lower-level mechanics with diagnosis and technical issues
    • May require to work on other vehicle types based on shop flow
