Reports to: Facilities/EVS Manager Job Summary: The EVS Supervisor coordinates work assignments and supervises EVS workers in addition to overseeing the cleaning of the buildings and grounds. Duties/Responsibilities: - Plan, prioritize, and assign work orders to EVS workers.
- Supervises the activities of EVS workers, ensuring safety and sanitation procedures are followed at all times.
- Procure tools, equipment, and supplies, based on project needs.
- Interpret and disseminate company policy to employees, enforcing company policy and practices.
- Provide support to Facilities/EVS/Valet Manager to analyze and resolve work problems.
- Provide training and resources to team members, in order to improve skillsets.
- Ensures staff creates a positive relationship through consistent delivery of customer service to all guests and co-workers.
- Ensures staff maintains a clean, neat work environment including all surrounding areas of property including but not limited to the gaming floor, valet, parking area, trash receptacles and ash urns.
- May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
- Ensures proper training and safe storage of cleaning supplies along with safety training guidelines.
- Create budget for each project and report expenditures, material lists, and inventory counts.
- Perform oversight of timekeeping for direct reports. Conduct employee reviews.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities: - Prior supervisor experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs.
- Strict adherence to job site safety programs, as well as ongoing safety training.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with an influence effective decision making.
- Ability to build and maintain budgets and department costs.
Education and Experience: - Two (2+) years leading an EVS team to include hiring, evaluating, and coaching.
- Five (5) years’ experience in supervision.
- High School diploma.
- Understanding of local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout facilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to clean equipment and buildings.
- Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions.
Starting salary $45,000/year. Wyoming Horse Racing offers health, dental and vision insurance as well as paid time off. Must be 21 or older and able to pass background check and drug screen.
