Job Summary: Assists in all activities of the Environmental Services (EVS) department with primary duties being floor care maintenance. Ability to follow routine floor care and cleaning schedules in addition to management's requests for unscheduled tasks and project assignments. Duties may also include cleaning and/or maintaining all areas of Harris Health System facilities. This position requires the ability to operate equipment safely, ensure a safe environment for staff and visitor's and personal responsibility for your safety. Work assignments may be completed individually or in a team setting.

Minimum Qualifications::

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: High School diploma or GED preferred; or six months recent hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience in lieu of high school diploma/GED.

Work Experience (Years and Area): Three years of hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience with at least one year of hard floor maintenance and restoration of commercial floor care.

Management Experience (Years and Area): None

Equipment Operated: Heavy equipment to include high speed and low speed machines, walk behind and riding scrubbers, burnishers, extractors, and wet vacuums.

Other Requirements: Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to operate and maintain floor care equipment in a safe manner at all times.
