Summary:

• Responsible for the effective daily coordination and monitoring of Environmental Services bed throughput activities through timely and accurate dispatch and management of discharge and transfer cleaning requests and efficient assignments of EVS personnel utilizing the Penn Chart System.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes effective dispatching logic in prioritizing tasks, dispatching assignments to the appropriate personnel in order of availability and proximity while maximizing productivity to facilitate effective and efficient work standards and flow. Drives quality and continuously improves departmental performance through effective monitoring task and personnel status in accordance with quality standards and budgetary objectives to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Notifies managers of potential situations and unreasonable response times. Assists in orienting, training and developing all levels of personnel. Motivates staff to function as a team in achieving goals and maximum productivity by monitoring and interpreting demand and staff response times in accordance with patient acuity and personnel availability. Develops and promotes positive effective customer service relations with patients, patient family members, visitors and staff; ensures accurate and timely dispatch of discharge clean requests; ensures timely response to all patient and patient-related cleaning requests according to budgetary guidelines while promoting maximum staff productivity. Ensures requests have been completed in an efficient and timely manner according to current departmental standards, priorities and patient appointments. Resolves problems related to patient, visitor, staff or employee complaints; resolves problems associated with Environmental Services; recommends and participates in the solution of on-going problems or trends.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

• H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
• Other
• Vo-Tec Diploma

Salary Range:

$19.01 - $30.29/Hourly

As part of their job offer, successful candidates are provided a specific rate, taking into consideration various factors including experience and education.
